Jared offers private video lessons over Zoom. He specializes in teaching music theory, composition and electric guitar styles like Rock, Funk, Metal, Blues, Jazz and Fusion.

You can learn anything from finger picking slide guitar to composing 12-Tone Rows. The focus of each lesson is completely up to you. Lessons are $50 per hour.

I’m very happy with Jared’s musical mentorship over the past 14 months. He’s knowledgeable as you would expect from a Berklee graduate with a MA in Music Composition. But, all that knowledge might be wasted were it not for his patience, his adaptability and his positivity.

He’s needed a lot of patience to “stick in there” working with a 73 year old beginnermediate who forgets half of what was taught the previous lesson, and I’m grateful for his ability to “meet me where I am” week to week - I can be a bit scattered…

Perhaps the quality, most important to teaching anyone who’d have the audacity to learn to play guitar is his positivity. He strives to notice any achievement, no matter how small, even ones engulfed by ugliness on all sides. Lol
